Anti Ragging

Bradford International Business School (BIBS), Patna strictly prohibits ragging in any form and is committed to maintaining a safe, disciplined, and respectful academic environment for all students. This policy is in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, as well as the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Ragging is defined as any act, behavior, words (spoken or written), gestures, or conduct that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm, fear, humiliation, embarrassment, intimidation, or discomfort to any student, particularly newcomers.

Such acts are considered a serious violation of institutional discipline and are punishable under college rules and applicable laws. To prevent ragging, the college has established an Anti-Ragging Committee and an Anti-Ragging Squad to ensure continuous vigilance, transparency, and prompt resolution of complaints. Students found engaging in ragging may face strict disciplinary action, which can include suspension, expulsion, cancellation of admission, withholding of results, and legal proceedings, depending on the severity of the offense.

All students, along with their parents or guardians, are required to submit an anti-ragging undertaking/affidavit at the time of admission, affirming their commitment to abide by the anti-ragging regulations. Students are strongly encouraged to report any incidents of ragging immediately to the college authorities or committee members. Complaints will be handled confidentially and without fear of retaliation. BIBS, Patna maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and expects the full cooperation of all students in upholding the values of dignity, mutual respect, and harmony, ensuring a ragging-free campus for everyone.
